France-based
Weenect extends its family geolocation products with a small, light
collar to keep track of the self-described most important member of the
family, so that curiosity will never again kill the cat. As much as cats love their
owners, those furry little adventurers aren’t always the best about
staying in safe territory. Now, thanks to Weenect Cats, worried owners can
keep track of their cat’s whereabouts from anywhere, so they’ll never
have to worry about it getting lost, running away or otherwise causing
trouble. The product has a net weight
of only 0.06 lbs and a tiny size (2.2 x 0.8 x 0.4 inches), Weenect Cats
is the smallest GPS tracker in the world. It can be clipped onto any
collar or harness and carries a GPS chip and SIM card, allowing any
owner to track their cat directly from a smartphone. Since
it works through satellite reception like a regular GPS, they can be
anywhere on earth and still show up on the screen. The cat’s owner can
then retrace the steps of his companion with the history logs.
But
it doesn’t just track them; it can take long-distance calls! Using a
microphone and speaker, Weenect Cat is the first phone for cats, letting
you call them up to make sure she’s okay, communicate with a person if
she gets lost, or maybe just yell at her for teasing the dog.
The
phone can be activated for an extra subscription cost. The tracker works in 80 countries worldwide
without any extra costs as the tracker comes equipped with a SIM card.
Once
the tracker has been turned on, a series of features allows you to
locate your feline friend wherever it is via the companion app’ Weenect - GPS trackers. Such features include:
- Custom warning messages: You receive notifications when the cat enters or leaves a predefined zone you set up (unlimited number of zones).
- Tracking view via map, compass or augmented reality - through your device’s camera - with real time monitoring.
