It wouldn’t be fair taking about the new iPhones that aren’t out yet and leave the other end of the android market in the cold. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has find its way to the store shelves this month. Although Note line was plagued with issues last year, and most where recalled. This year Samsung has made the effort to push the Note 8 out without no hiccups so far. Let’s see what Samsung did differently this time around.

The S Pen – A New Way to Communicate

• With a finer tip, improved pressure sensitivity and new features, the enhanced S Pen of the Galaxy Note8 unlocks entirely new ways to write, draw and interact with the phone and communicate with friends.
• A new Live Message feature enables users to create and share customized animated GIFs to better express themselves, while the Screen off memo lets them write up to 100 pages of editable reminders and notes directly on the Galaxy Note8’s off screen. Users can also utilize the improved Translate feature to translate words and sentences as well as convert units and currencies by simply hovering the S Pen over selected text.
• Preloaded with the PENUP app, the Galaxy Note8 empowers users to unleash their creativity via a new 200-page digital coloring book.

Moments Up Close and Clear with the Dual Camera

• Taking Samsung’s best-in-class camera technology to the next level, the Galaxy Note8 boasts two 12MP rear cameras – one F1.7 wide-angle lens with Dual Pixel technology and one F2.4 telephoto lens – that both utilize Optical Image Stabilization (OIS).
• With 2X optical and up to 10X digital zooming capabilities, images are crisp and clear, even when photographing subjects at a far distance. Furthermore, the wide-angle lens has a Dual Pixel sensor with rapid auto-focus, so users can also capture sharper and brighter shots, even in low-light environments.
• For added creative control, the new Live Focus feature lets users adjust the intensity of the background blur of an image before and after the photo is taken. In Dual Capture mode, both cameras work simultaneously to capture two separate images – one close-up shot from the telephoto lens and one wide-angle shot that shows the entire background.
• The Galaxy Note8 is also equipped with an industry-leading F1.7 8MP auto-focus front-facing camera for the sharpest selfies and video chats.

The Infinity Display – Do More, Play More

• The expanded screen space enabled by the Galaxy Note8’s Infinity Display offers users refined multitasking features and enhanced entertainment capabilities.
• With more screen real estate and an aspect ratio of 18.5:9, users can enjoy a more immersive viewing experience when watching their favorite TV show or playing games. Additionally, the phone’s MOBILE HDR PREMIUM™ certification enables them to see content in the way filmmakers intended.
• The phone’s maximized screen space also makes multitasking more efficient. Features like Multi Window help to improve productivity by allowing users to complete multiple tasks at once. And with the Galaxy Note8’s new App Pair feature, users can now create a custom pair of apps on the Edge panel and launch them at the same time with a single tap.

Designed to Do Bigger Things

• The Galaxy Note8 builds on Samsung’s design heritage with a 6.3-inch Quad HD+ Super AMOLED Infinity Display, a bezel-less, dual-edge display that takes up more than 83 percent of the phone’s front screen.
• With a slim bezel and a slightly more squared design than the Infinity Display of the Galaxy S8, the Galaxy Note8’s display boasts more surface area for writing and drawing with the S Pen. Nevertheless, its unique design and slim silhouette make it comfortable to hold in one hand.
• The Galaxy Note8 will be available in four stunning colors: Midnight Black, Orchid Gray, Maple Gold and the all-new Deep sea Blue. It will also be launched with a collection of uniquely designed accessories that include a mélange of chic yet functional covers crafted from premium, textured materials.

A Full Galaxy of Services

• In line with Samsung’s commitment to help people get more out of their lives in meaningful ways, the Galaxy Note8 is connected to an ecosystem of software and services.
• Samsung DeX, for example, lets users securely use their smartphone like a desktop by simply docking their Galaxy Note8 in the DeX Station – with or without a phone cover. A new All Apps user interface which provides an overview of up to 36 apps, optimized email and video conferencing capabilities, and expanded support for more mobile games and video streaming services bring a new level of functionality and fun to the Samsung DeX experience.
• Likewise, Samsung’s intelligent interface Bixby helps users interact with their devices, Bixby’s voice capabilities have expanded to more than 200 countries and territories worldwide, allowing millions of consumers to experience a smarter way to interact with their phones.

Everything that’s listed up above sounds amazing, but I’m a reviewer. So, I’ll believe it when I review it.

Wow, time certainly flies… I can’t believe it’s been one (1) whole entire year since I have posted a blog. Many may of thought that I died. Nope, I was just trying to get my YouTube channel to a respectable subscription base and then I got lost into video editing realm as well. So, I’m back from out of the shadows, and what brought me back? New phones of course and the particular ones I’m blogging about today are the new iPhones. This year apple shook things up and unveiled not one, not two, but three phones! The iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus and new designed iPhone X (Ten). First things first, why did Apple ditch there numbering scheme for their phone this year? I was expecting an iPhone 7s and iPhone 7s Plus. The “S” in the naming would let consumers know that the phone had the same design as last year’s model, but had better internal components.
So, looking on the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus specification sheet there are some serious improvements over last year’s iPhone, but none that valid the skip from iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. Maybe, this is all a marketing ploy to trick the subconscious of the consumer to buy this new product. Apart from this confusion, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus has some very interesting features that should be pointed out.



Highlighted Features:

• 4K video recording at 60FPS. I never knew it was possible on a mobile device. This is a dream come through for content creators like myself. Recording videos at a resolution of 60FPS allows you to be more creative when editing the video for upload.
• 1080P recording at 240FPS. This simply means you can now do slow motion at full HD resolution. Again, this is very beneficial for content creators.
• Better stereo speakers. This is a must if you are going to view a lot of media on your phone.
• Base model is now 64GB of storage. Finally, Apple has thrown out the ideal that 16GB of storage was acceptable in this day and age.
• It’s IP68 certified. Its more resistant to dust and water which is always a good thing. •Wireless charging… I can’t believe this wasn’t a feature of iPhones yet, but at least it finally here. 

As I said before, the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus has some interesting features, but there was one more phone that Apple unveiled today that has all of that and much more.
Here comes the iPhone X. This is the crowning jewel of Apple engineers. The iPhone X has a breathtaking design that you wouldn’t expect from Apple. The main points that made the iPhone X standout from the rest are as follows.

The Power of X: 

• New design. As you can see from the many pictures circulating the internet. This iPhone has removed its home button and went for a sleeker look. The screen to body ratio for this phone is high, with nearly no bezels showing around the screen. 
• Face ID. So, no home button means no finger print scanner. The new way to secure the iPhone X is with facial recognition which Apples claims is more secure than touch ID, and can’t be fooled by a picture. 
• Augmented reality. A lot was shown about this aspect of the iPhone X. Persons were mapping their facial movements to an animated emoji with frightening accuracy. What I’m really excited about is what developers are going to do with this new found feature on the iPhone X. 
• The Display. The iPhone X has a Super AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1125 x 2436 pixels, and support Dolby Vision and HDR 10. This means the iPhone X can view HDR content with no problem.

Apple, has certainly out done itself this year. So, who said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?
