A new, unannounced Honor smartphone made an appearance on Geekbench's database with model number GIA-AN00 and it is believed to be the Honor 60 SE. Information regarding this handset is rather scarce so the Geekbench listing is more than welcome. The device is running MediaTek's Dimensity 900 chipset and at least one of the memory configurations will offer 8GB of RAM. The sheet also suggests that the phone will ship with Android 12 out of the box. Aside from those basic specs, the Geekbench result suggests that the Honor 60 SE, if that's really the marketing name, should arrive...

ANYCUBIC Vyper 3D printer review

Having recently done an in-depth review on the CREALITY HALOT-ONE resin 3D printer, I recently got a chance to play with the ANYCUBIC Vyper and can now share what its real life performance is like. I have been doing Fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3D printing for over a year and have owned a total of three 3D printers - my current Monoprice Select Mini V2, which is the only one I could reasonably keep with the limited home space I have and before that Prusa i3, which...

Huawei Watch GT Runner in for review

The Huawei Watch GT 3 is one of the best smartwatches on the market, and the company recently announced a new version called Watch GT Runner. The new device has a lot of similarities with the GT 3, but there are also some differences that need testing. The Huawei Watch GT Runner feels quite light, and has a bit sportier design with the cool stripes on the rubber strap. Another major change is the antenna design - it claims improved communication with the L1 and L5 satellites. The looks might be different, but the core functionality is largely unchanged. 5G phones are now widely available, but the same can’t be said of 5G networks. Last week’s poll shows that the greatest barrier to adoption is that some countries still haven’t launched their 5G networks. The second most common issue is that many users don’t have a 5G-capable phone yet (about a quarter of voters). Not really surprising, if they don’t live in an area with 5G coverage. Of course, that hasn’t stopped makers from selling 5G phones in those regions – they frame it as future-proofing. And they do put in the work, e.g. Airtel in India was using phones from Apple, Realme,...

OnePlus Buds Z2 vs Nothing ear (1)

Posted by Payton Wilmott On 0 comments

OnePlus recently launched the Buds Z2, which are a pair of truly wireless earbuds and successor to the 2020 OnePlus Buds Z. Last week, we heard that OnePlus is planning to launch the Nord CE2 5G (previously called Nord 2 CE) in February, and that information is now corroborated by reliable tipster Max Jambor, who says the smartphone will arrive on February 11. Jambor also shared an image showing the Nord CE2 5G's camera island housing an LED flash and three cameras. It looks similar to the one we've seen on the Oppo Reno7 SE 5G, which is no surprise since leaked specs and renders suggest the Nord CE2 5G will be a rebadged Reno7 SE 5G with a better camera system and faster charging. It will also have a 3.5mm...

Realme's upcoming global version of the GT2 Pro has been very very busy lately, getting certified by NBTC in Thailand, listed by Google Play console, and benchmarked on Geekbench. All of these moves reveal the fact that its international launch is right around the corner, following its initial unveiling for the Chinese market earlier this month. The GT2 Pro for global markets will have the model number RMX3301, as confirmed again today by the NBTC certification. Its listing in Google Play console further cements an international release (not that that was in any doubt, after all Realme's...

Google's foldable will reportedly be called the Pixel Notepad, not the Pixel Fold as previously rumored. What's more, Google hasn't given up on it and plans to have it out by the end of 2022. Apparently, Google is aiming for a $1,400 price tag for its foldable phone, which undercut the Galaxy Z Fold3 by $400. The Pixel Notebook take after the Oppo Find N rather than the Galaxy Z Fold3 in that it will be shorter and wider instead of overly tall. A word on specs - the Pixel Notebook will use the Tensor chip from the Pixel 6 series but will opt for an inferior camera selection. The...

We’ve already got official confirmation that Samsung is holding an Unpacked event in February where it's expected to announce its Galaxy S22 series smartphones and Galaxy Tab S8 series tablets. The exact date of the event is still not confirmed but leakster Evan Blass brings some solid evidence that it's February 9 as he's shared what appears to be an official event poster. The poster has a large “S” letter beneath which we see an “Epic Standard” tagline. Not much else can be derived from the image but at least we have a clear indication of when to expect the new Galaxy S22 and Tab S8...

Last year Samsung released the Galaxy F22 handset as a regional version of the Galaxy M22 in some regions and it appears we are in for a repeat this year. A newly surfaced Geekbench listing tells of a Samsung phone with mode number SM-E236, which should be the Galaxy F23. The Galaxy F22 from last year was SM-E225. The listing confirms the phone packs a Snapdragon 750G SoC, which is a huge step up from the MediaTek Helio G80 powering up the previous generation. There's also at least 6GB of RAM and Android 12 out of the box. Seeing last year's release strategy, we would expect the...

We knew Realme 9 Pro and Pro+ are around the corner and it was reasonable to expect a vanilla model will join them. Now an FCC listing shows we are also getting a Realme 9 5G. The FCC documentation states that the Realme 9 5G has a different marketing name and model number but it's essentially the same as the Realme 8 5G design-wise. Looking at the live photos themselves, the Realme 9 5G is not too different from the Realme 8 5G. Live images from the FCC filing We also learn there will be an 18W charger in the box as opposed to the 33W charger that the two Pro...

An apparent software issue is causing some iPhone 13's to display a pink overlay on their screens and crash. The issue has been reported numerous times on Apple's Discussions Forums and Reddit. Seemingly the only common thing between the issues is that it's happening to the iPhone 13 series and not other Apple devices. One person reported that their GPS was inaccurate and the phone's display turned pink. Another said the battery was acting weird and the phone kept freezing and then proceeded to pink screen. A couple of users have reportedly had their phones replaced, while others were...
