Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds2 earphones earlier this month, along with the Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 smartphones. We received a pair of the new earbuds, and we are now ready with our review, so pour yourself a Sunday drink and enjoy the read. The new earphones borrowed the Active Noise Cancellation from the Galaxy Buds Pro, but stayed humble on speaker sizes, so that’s why they are positioned as a successor of the Buds+ rather than an evolution of the Pro. The new earbuds arrive in a square case, just like the Buds Pro and Buds Live. Samsung announced them as its...

Another week is in the books, so let's recap. Huawei could be prepping a special edition Mate 50 smartphone with a dual ultra-curved display with touch-sensitive sides. Huawei's Mate Pro line has waterfall screen sides and the Mate 30 Pro didn't even have a volume rocker back in 2019, so this Arc design is not entirely new for the maker. We'll see what comes of it. Xiaomi stopped Redmi Note 10 production, citing issues related to chip shortages. The company suggested customers purchase other devices from the same lineup, like the Redmi Note 10 Pro (convenient), Redmi Note 10S and Redmi...

The Motorola Edge 20 series arrived a month ago, and we finally got our hands on a member of the family. The vanilla Edge 20 is now with us and we’ll go over its highlights before handing it over to the review team. Pulling out the phone from the box, we can feel how unusually thin it is. Other manufacturers have ditched the idea of having uber light devices lately, but the Edge 20 measures just 7mm for the most part, making it super easy to handle. The camera setup adds 3mm more, meaning the phone is very wobbly when laid on a flat surface, though. The camera setup on the back...

The Redmi 10 is now available online and can be shipped to various countries. There’s also a Redmi 10 Prime coming to India on September 3 and we strongly suspect that’s just the local name of the Redmi 10. Alright, who wants one? Before you answer, a bit of introduction is in order. This is the most advanced “plain” Redmi so far. It is the first in the series to have a high refresh rate screen, a 6.5” 1080p+ LCD panel running at 90Hz. Though given the price range, the 1080p+ part is perhaps more impressive than the 90Hz part – we’ve been seeing a lot of 720p+ phones recently, for example...

Last week’s poll shows that Google may have underestimated the appeal of the Pixel 5a 5G. As far as we know, this model will only be available in the US and Japan. That pales even in comparison with the upcoming Pixel 6 duo that will launch in eight markets. The poll results are split three ways with nearly equal percentage points. The top option (by a slim margin) is that people are interested in buying a unit, if one is available near them. But that’s easier said than done – with the multitude of 5G bands used around the world, launching in more countries will probably require a new...

After Apple released the original iPhone to great acclaim, the biggest mobile phone maker of the day, Nokia, vowed to beat it at its own game. At first it tried to undercut the price with the ambitious but imperfect Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, its first touch-driven Symbian S60 smartphone. That didn’t work out – the 5800 had its flaws, but it did help software developers and users familiarize with the new software stack and interface. Symbian S60 5th edition was a brand new touch UI unrelated to previous efforts like S80 or UIQ. With the worst issues ironed out, the stage was set for...
