This week we continue to clear my desk for the coming
holidays, and the victim on the groping table is the Nuqleo Zinq 7 3G. If you
spotted the 3G at the end of the product name you’ll realize that it uses
mobile data service which means it uses mobile SIM cards. The surprises don’t
stop there folks there is much more, so let’s get to it.
What should we call it?
The Nuqleo Zinq 7 3G is way too big to be called a phone or
a phablet, but it has an ear piece speaker and a microphone to be used as a
phone. So we can’t call it a 7 inch tablet either. To better understand this
abomination of a device we had to turn to the specification sheet which reads a
little bit like this.

- Operating system: Android ™ 4.2.2 Jelly Bean
- Internal Memory: RAM 1GB DDR3 and ROM 8.0GB
- Expandable memory: Supports up to 32GB with micro SD card slot
- Display: 7 inches with a resolution of 1024x600 pixels

- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Camera: Front 0.3 MP/Back 2.0MP
Unfortunately the specification sheet didn’t help us to
understand what this device was, so we are going to continue calling it the
abomination.
Setup Of The Abomination
The set up process is kind of tricky given the fact that
your first boot up of the device is in Spanish. If you know your way around the
Android OS this won’t be a problem for you to rectify. Just find the language
setting in settings and change it to English. The next trickster in set up is
finding the SIM card and memory card slots. They are located under the back
cover that covers the camera module. Taking off this cover is a delicate
process since you wouldn’t want to break the clips that hold the cover in
place 
A Week With The Abomination
If you’re looking to make yourself the center of attention
then I would recommend using the abomination as phone. Putting a 7 inch device
to your face for calls will certainly draw a crowd, and a lot of questions
afterwards. To be honest I kind of liked the attention, since it was a great
way to get females to talk me. The call quality was ok and the device ability
to use 2 separate SIM cards at once was very handy. The battery life wasn’t stellar
to say the least, but it was immediately acceptable once I saw the price the
abomination was being sold for. The abomination retails for around 18,000
dollar which amazing considering the size screen and phone feature you are
getting with the device.
Final Thoughts
On a serious note folks the Nuqleo Zinq is a ok device for
the cost, but at 7 inch the device is too big to be used as your everyday phone
