EU hits Google with another fine - €1.5 billion

The European Commission has fined Google €1.49 billion for misusing its dominant position on the market for search advertising. According to Margrethe Vestager, the antitrust commissioner at Brussels, said Google used restrictive clauses with partners to "cement its dominance." The official press release says Google prohibited AdSense for Search clients to use adverts from competitors on its website.
