Sony’s original PlayStation VR came out in late 2016 and is quite old at this point. This January the company finally announced plans to release version 2, revealing the design a month later. Sony never committed to a particular launch date, however, but the assumption was that it will come out this year. That may be wrong, Ross Young (of Display Supply Chain Consultants) reports that the PlayStation VR2 is coming out next year.
