How Smart Is Your TV?

Folks, last week started out with me crying like a baby for about 2 hours. I was moaning the death of my Samsung LCD TV/Monitor that was murder by my friend's two (2) year old son. I know you all maybe  curious to how this fatality occur... Let's just say Xbox Kinect and under age children don't work well together. Anyway, I was on the hunt to find myself a replacement for my HDTV, and the best option I found was one that impressed me so much that I had to share it with my readers. The Samsung SyncMaster T27B550 is more than what meets the eye.

Let's Talk Specs
After I read the specification sheet I had to remind myself that what I was reading was for a Television/Monitor and not for a laptop. Take a look at the specifications below.
Display : 27" inch Screen Size, LED Display, 1920 x 1080 Resolution, 5ms Response Time.
Ports : D-Sub, (2) HDMI, RF In, (2) USB Port, Component In (Y / Pb / Pr), Composite In (AV), CI Slot, Scart Input, Ethernet (LAN), Audio in (Mini Jack), Audio out (Headphone).
They are ports on this device for every possible occasion, but after a week of use I realized it was missing one key feature and that was Built-In Wi-Fi. This might be disappointing to some, but there is an option to buy a special Samsung Wi-Fi dongle that will give the TV/Monitor the ability to use Wi-Fi.

Let's Talk Features
You might not believe what I'm about to say in regards to feature, but I assure you that all I'm about to say has been tried and proven to be true.
Connect Share: This device can play movies/music/and photos from a flash drive or external hard drive. I have tested videos up to 1080p resolution and they play without any problems.
DTV Broadcasting Record (Extra USB Hard Drive required) supported: This device can pause/rewind/and record live TV. You can pause and rewind your favorite shows on CVM or TVJ.
USB keyboard & mouse supported for web browser: Plug your internet cable directly into the TV/Monitor, plus a USB mouse and keyboard and you can surf the web without the aid of a computer.
Smart Hub: This is a menu option that come with the device that lets you download apps like Netflix, Tweeter, Facebook, Hulu and a variety of other things to work on the TV/Monitor.

Final Thoughts
At this point in time I'm kind of glad the kid slaughtered my previous HDTV, because the Samsung T27B550 is more than a HDTV... It's a very Smart HDTV that produces rich colors, deep black and sharp picture quality. The Samsung T27B550 retails for about 60,000 dollars, which may look steep but remember what you are getting for your money. Let's Fight...

So after two weeks of fighting games I needed a break, so in dedication to all the fallen heroes in the onslaught that went down for two weeks here and nearby game shops I have this week's article which is the four hottest fighting games out now plus a list of related victims(who's full names have been concealed to stop further embarrassment )

Mortal Kombat Komplete

Its only right that we start out this article with the great and almighty Mortal Kombat Komplete that is two years old and still going strong. This game is a classic with a brutal combo system added to revamp the franchise. This Version Mortal Kombat comes with all the downloadable characters and bonus materials all on one disc so you won't have to reach in your pockets to purchase any add features for your enjoyment. The game is still a blast to play until you meet someone that gives you a combo that takes out more than 50% of your life bar! Sigh, the R.I.P (Real Incompetent Players) list for this game is long.

R.I.P
  • Stenneth (Took one for the team...)
  • Payton (Don't ask...)
  • P-Ninja (Couldn't find the block button)
  • Tyrell (Didn't know what hit him)
  • Zaine (Stick to Call Of Duty)

Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition

No way you can have Mortal Kombat on this list and don't have the franchise that started it all, Street Fighter (S.F). Don't mean to brag, but I can hold my own in any SF game as long Ken, Ryu and Zangief aka Big Nasty are in it. This version of S.F is the best I have encountered for a long while and I doubt anyone can disagree on that fact. The animations are great and very colorful to look at. Not to mention the vast amount of playable characters to choose from as soon as you start the game. This is the game for real experience fighter that appreciate the basic combat system of fighting games with some cheap 2000 hit unblock-able combo.

R.I.P
  • Alex (Stick to Mortal Kombat)
  • John Doe (Don't know your name but you made the list)

Dead Or Alive 5

Although this game has no blood, fatality, curse words it still manage to get itself a Mature rating. hhhmmm.... a dedicated physics engine for the female character and their parts. I see why that mature rating was needed now, but I must say that Dead or Alive is one of the most under rated fighter game I have ever seen. This game has always been great with awesome graphics and intense gameplay. It also pioneered the counter system to a level that even new comers to the franchise can effectively defend them self against combos are juggles. Dead Or Alive 5 is fast paced and extremely fun and satisfying.

R.I.P
  • P-Ninja (Still can't find the block button)
  • Alex (Go back to playing Mortal Kombat)
  • Duran ( Civilian causality)

Persona 4 Arena

Persona 4 Arena is simple as pressing one button continuously for combos, super move, super move combos, but still complex enough with other gaming mechanics to grab hardcore gamers. This is the game where everyone can look like pro and feel like it too. The only problem i found with this game is that the amount of characters you have to choose from is small compared to other fighting games, but everything else is more than adequate to keep persons playing.

R.I.P
  • Alex (Sigh...)
  • P-Ninja (Still can't find the block button)
  • Duran ( Sacrificial lamb)
  • Tyrell (Didn't stand a chance)

Final Thoughts
It's a sad day for persons on the list, but I'm worried about when Injustice: Gods Among Us comes out. This list become extremely long. The product mentioned in this article was provided courtesy of Royale Computers and Accessories telephone#: 906-1067, 906-1068, and 754-5048.

4 Galaxy S4 sold every second...

Posted by Payton Wilmott On Thursday, June 6, 2013 0 comments

Hhhhmmm, and they say we are in a recession. Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. announced that global channel sales of its GALAXY S4, a life companion for a richer, fuller, simpler life, has surpassed 10 million units sold in less than one month after its commercial debut. Launched globally on April 27, the phone is estimated to be selling at a rate of four units per second.

The GALAXY S4 sets a new record for Samsung, generating sales quicker than any of its predecessors. Sales of the GALAXY S III reached the 10-million mark 50 days after its launch in 2012, while the GALAXY S II took five months and the GALAXY S seven months to reach the same milestone.
The GALAXY S4 was developed to enhance the meaningful moments in our lives through its innovative features and superior hardware. It has the world’s first Full HD Super AMOLED display that showcases images at their very best on a 5-inch screen with 441ppi. Equipped with a powerful rear 13MP camera, the GALAXY S4 also boasts a Dual Camera function that allows simultaneous use of both front and rear cameras. The GALAXY S4’s new and innovative software features include Air View and Air Gesture for effortless tasks, while it also keeps users up-to-date with information about their health and well being using S Health. Samsung GALAXY S4 is currently available in more than 110 countries and will gradually be rolled out to a total of 155 countries in cooperation with 327 partners. Also, Samsung is planning to introduce more color variations to meet various consumer tastes and preferences. In addition to the currently available White Mist and Black Forest, new color iterations will be added this summer, including Blue Arctic and Red Aurora, followed by Purple Mirage and Brown Autumn. Lol, I have included a little chart below for all the questions persons were asking about HTC One vs iPhone 5 vs Galaxy S4. Keep the peace, and don't be a fan boy.
