Let's Fight...

So after two weeks of fighting games I needed a break, so in dedication to all the fallen heroes in the onslaught that went down for two weeks here and nearby game shops I have this week's article which is the four hottest fighting games out now plus a list of related victims(who's full names have been concealed to stop further embarrassment )

Mortal Kombat Komplete

Its only right that we start out this article with the great and almighty Mortal Kombat Komplete that is two years old and still going strong. This game is a classic with a brutal combo system added to revamp the franchise. This Version Mortal Kombat comes with all the downloadable characters and bonus materials all on one disc so you won't have to reach in your pockets to purchase any add features for your enjoyment. The game is still a blast to play until you meet someone that gives you a combo that takes out more than 50% of your life bar! Sigh, the R.I.P (Real Incompetent Players) list for this game is long.

R.I.P
  • Stenneth (Took one for the team...)
  • Payton (Don't ask...)
  • P-Ninja (Couldn't find the block button)
  • Tyrell (Didn't know what hit him)
  • Zaine (Stick to Call Of Duty)

Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition

No way you can have Mortal Kombat on this list and don't have the franchise that started it all, Street Fighter (S.F). Don't mean to brag, but I can hold my own in any SF game as long Ken, Ryu and Zangief aka Big Nasty are in it. This version of S.F is the best I have encountered for a long while and I doubt anyone can disagree on that fact. The animations are great and very colorful to look at. Not to mention the vast amount of playable characters to choose from as soon as you start the game. This is the game for real experience fighter that appreciate the basic combat system of fighting games with some cheap 2000 hit unblock-able combo.

R.I.P
  • Alex (Stick to Mortal Kombat)
  • John Doe (Don't know your name but you made the list)

Dead Or Alive 5

Although this game has no blood, fatality, curse words it still manage to get itself a Mature rating. hhhmmm.... a dedicated physics engine for the female character and their parts. I see why that mature rating was needed now, but I must say that Dead or Alive is one of the most under rated fighter game I have ever seen. This game has always been great with awesome graphics and intense gameplay. It also pioneered the counter system to a level that even new comers to the franchise can effectively defend them self against combos are juggles. Dead Or Alive 5 is fast paced and extremely fun and satisfying.

R.I.P
  • P-Ninja (Still can't find the block button)
  • Alex (Go back to playing Mortal Kombat)
  • Duran ( Civilian causality)

Persona 4 Arena

Persona 4 Arena is simple as pressing one button continuously for combos, super move, super move combos, but still complex enough with other gaming mechanics to grab hardcore gamers. This is the game where everyone can look like pro and feel like it too. The only problem i found with this game is that the amount of characters you have to choose from is small compared to other fighting games, but everything else is more than adequate to keep persons playing.

R.I.P
  • Alex (Sigh...)
  • P-Ninja (Still can't find the block button)
  • Duran ( Sacrificial lamb)
  • Tyrell (Didn't stand a chance)

Final Thoughts
It's a sad day for persons on the list, but I'm worried about when Injustice: Gods Among Us comes out. This list become extremely long. The product mentioned in this article was provided courtesy of Royale Computers and Accessories telephone#: 906-1067, 906-1068, and 754-5048.
