Avengers: Infinity War finally hits theaters on May 4, 2018. That means we're all just a few months away from one of the most highly anticipated superhero movies ever made. But it also means that fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe are getting antsy. After all... what's next?
We already know that Ant-Man and the Wasp and Captain Marvel are both scheduled to come out between the third and fourth Avengers movies. We also know that Joe and Anthony Russo - who directed Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War - are returning for Avengers 4, along with most of Infinity War's cast and crew.
But we don't know much about Avengers 4, specifically, in large part because we still don't know much about Avengers: Infinity War. Thanos, played by Josh Brolin, is assembling the powerful Infinity Stones and Earth's greatest heroes (and several aliens) are assembling to stop him, but where that gigantic battle will leave the heroes, the villains, and the rest of the MCU once Infinity War is finished is still a huge question mark.
