Nintendo's Teases Their Next Announcement on Their Paid Online Service

Nintendo's managing executive officer, Shinya Takahashi says that there are some aspects of the company's upcoming paid online service that will be "worth the wait." The online service was discussed in an investor Q&A, and Nintendo President, Tatsumi Kimishima, said that the service is going to be just "one component" of the company's plan to "diversify" how their games are played, as well as how they'll get more people to play them.

Nintendo's online paid service for the Switch was initially planned to launch last year, but a delay was announced, pushing it back to 2018. The service is now planned for a September 2018 launch, and we've not had much more information other than the prices for the membership plans and the names of a few titles that will be included in their Classic Game Selection.
