CinemaScore: Audiences Rate Ready Player One and Other Spielberg Movies

Steven Spielberg is one of those rare directors who consistently manages to deliver big, crowd-pleasing blockbusters that also resonate with critics. So it should come as no surprise that Spielberg has tended to fare very well when it comes to the all-important CinemaScore rating. CinemaScores are determined by polling domestic moviegoers on opening night, resulting in a letter grade that serves as a barometer of how moviegoers feel about a new film.

Spielberg's latest project has just hit theaters, and the verdict is now in. Ready Player One has received an A- CinemaScore, putting it on equal footing with past films like War Horse and Catch Me If You Can.
