Colin Trevorrow is on board to helm Jurassic World 3.
Steven Spielberg, who will return as an executive producer on the film, confirmed the news to Entertainment Weekly. "Colin Trevorrow is going write and direct the third Jurassic World story," Spielberg said.
Trevorrow co-wrote and directed 2015's Jurassic World and penned the script for the upcoming Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, which is directed by J.A. Bayona (A Monster Calls). Trevorrow handed the directing reigns over to Bayona to work on Star Wars Episode IX. However, Trevorrow was later dropped from Episode IX and replaced by J.J. Abrams.
