Deadpool creator Rob Liefeld's Extreme Universe movie franchise has landed at Netflix.
Deadline reports the streaming service acquired the rights to the film adaptations after a deal with Shangai-based Fundamental Films fell through. The plan is to create feature movies with a connective tissue, all based on the six Extreme Universe comic books.
The characters include Bloodwulf, Kaboom, Bloodstrike, Brigade, Lethal, Re-Gex, Nitro-Gen, and Cybrid, and they're all written in a similar subversive style as Deadpool, which became a huge hit for 20th Century Fox and Ryan Reynolds.
